I purchased an Aluminum Pro Truck rack with vertical uprights. They are very strong and will fit my needs for carrying my kayak on the rack. An added plus is the Pro Uprights work with my rigid folding tonneau cover even though it's not an ACI product. ACI also has great custumer serive and fast shipping.

I haven't gotten to the point of my season to be able to use this for it's intended purpose yet. It has been used to haul some lumber though, and worked great. The install wasn't difficult, it just took some simple measurements and it went right on. It is a pretty great system compared to many that I looked at before making a final decision. The number one reason this was the one I decided on was due to the straight uprights that allow for my bed cover to open. Most of the racks that I had looked at had angled uprights, which would have been in the way and made opening my cover impossible. Extremely satisfied with the product and the install design, I would definitely recommend for those protecting their tools with a bed cover.

Installed on my 2024 Silverado without any problem. Will have to remove the taillight assemblies for rear rack installation, but not a big deal at all. The rack comes with all the necessary hardware and templates for drilling into your truck bed rails and mounting the rack. The rack mounts on two aluminum bars that run the length of the bed along the top of the side rails. The bars are bolted into place using self-threading bolts through the top of the bed rails. One of these bolts stripped out without ever getting tight, so that's why I'm giving 4 stars. There is no way to compensate for this without removing the bar and drilling a new hole. I didn't want to remove the bolts that were already secure because I have no confidence that they would return to their original torque spec. That also means that you can't easily remove the rack and use your hard tonneau cover, so, if that was your plan, forget it. Otherwise, the rack is sturdy and fits perfectly above the roof of my Jeep Gladiator allowing me to haul the kayaks up high while still using the truck bed. The kayaks can move forward far enough to provide ample clearance for the RV, too, so I can bring the boats along while camping, which was my goal. I hate having to give up the tonneau and the dry, lockable storage it provided, but everything is a compromise. This is a good product. If I had known how it bolted through the bed rails, I probably wouldn't have bought it because it can't be removed and replaced without compromising the strength of the installation. Live and learn.Anybody need a hard tonneau to fit on a 5 1/2 foot bed?

I have a folding hard tonneau cover on a 2023 Ford F-150. The rack system was easily installed on top of it and the tonneau still works perfectly. I use the racks to transport two 14' prone paddle boards to and from the beach. Could not be happier with the product. It's solid and looks cool.
